Trilochan Netralaya Award for Best Video Osos

Trilochan Netralaya is a charitable eye hospital which was established in Sambalpur by Dr Shiva Prasad Sahoo in 2008 with a goal to eliminate avoidable blindness from Western Odisha.Being a Navodaya alumni Dr Shiva pledged to pay back the society for 7 years of his free valued education. After completion of his post graduation in Ophthalmology he realised the dire need of eye care in Western Odisha. Hence he decided to stay back to serve the underserved region of the state.

Through its 6 branch hospitals, 15 vision centres and 380+ staff, now Trilochan Netralaya caters to the eye care need of 10 million people in 14 districts of Western Odisha. Since inception it has restored sight to more than one lakh 24 thousands needy people of Western Odisha.

In 2020 it started its own paramedical girls training program to have a good pool of skilled HR and simultaneously shaping the lives of needy +2 pass out girls of remote villages by educating, empowering and engaging them and thus helping them to achieve a dignified livelihood. So far Trilochan Netralaya has trained and transformed the lives of 180+ such girls by its ‘Groom a Girl’s Program.

It also runs short term and long term fellowship programs in Anterior Segment, IOL and Vitreoretina. Till now 56 budding ophthalmologists from India and abroad have been trained at Trilochan Netralaya under the mentorship of Dr Shiva.
